Coach Hale played at Southern Mississippi and was also a graduate assistant for the Golden Eagles. He was a head high school football coach in the state of Florida for 30 years.

Hale started the football program at Arnold High School in 2000. Within four years, they had a ten win season and were ranked seventh in the state. After their 8th year, Arnold’s record was 11-1 & were ranked 6th in the state. Coach Hale coached Arnold High School football team to an 80-52 record in his 13 years. Over 40 of his football players received college football scholarships.

Coach Hale was the 2011 Florida District 1 – 5A Coach of the Year, 2008 Florida State Coach of the Year by the National Federation of High School Coaches Association, FACA Class 3A Coach of the Year in 2007, 2005, 2004, and was the FACA Class 2A Coach of the Year in 2003. He was the assistant weightlifting coach at Arnold High School when they were named 2006 & 2007 State Champions.

During Coach Hale’s 9-year tenure as head coach at Cape Coral High School, he developed the first SW Florida College Recruiting Fair for five counties (1994-98). Coach Hale was the 1995 Lee County Coach of the Year, 1994 Lee County Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, 1993 Lee County Coach of the Year , 1993 Southwest Florida Coach of the Year by Associated Press, FHCA 1993 4A-11 Coach of the Year, Sports Analyst for FOX-TV News, and coached ten of the Rotary’s North/South All-Star football games. Coach Hale is the winningest coach in Cape Coral High School’s history. Hale also coached the Lake Wales High School’s weightlifting team to the 3A State Championship and is the 4th winningest football coach in the history of Lake Wales High School. Coach Hale has been hosted a local radio show in Panama City for the past 5 years.
