Nothing Over a Dollar at The Dollar Outlet. For 30 years tourists have been able to get souvenirs for just a buck. That tradition is coming to an end as all six Dollar Outlet stores are in the process of closing. As a new local economy emerges one employee blames sky high property taxes. “Residents are not the only ones being forced to pack up their life and move. We’re hemorrhaging money.”
Some of the properties have already been closed and purchased. The location across the street from Fountain Blue has been bought by the condo and will be converted into a parking lot.
