The off-season may be where the bulk of NASCAR news comes from, but Speedweek hasn’t been shy of breaking stories and fun storylines.
It was announced Friday afternoon that Pitbull has terminated his partnership with Trackhouse Racing, effective immediately. The global artist had been a co-owner of the team for over four years, even naming one of his most recent albums after the organization.
“Ending partnership with Trackhouse Racing.” Pitbull said on X. “Over the past five years, we’ve made history by introducing NASCAR to a whole new audience and falling in love with NASCAR fans at the same time. We have made the decision to terminate the partnership with Trackhouse Racing, effective immediately. We’re looking forward to performing on the sport’s biggest stage this Sunday, the Daytona 500. It is a true honor, Dale!”
Pitbull is still set to address the media and perform the pre-race concert for Sunday’s Daytona 500.

From fan-favorite driver, to fan-favorite team owner, Dale Earnhardt Jr was elated to see Justin Allgaier race his No. 40 into the Daytona 500 on Thursday night. This marks the first time the storied Xfinity Series program JR Motorsports will compete in a NASCAR Cup Series race.

How about Bubba Wallace? The young vet was able to get his first checkered flag in over a year in the opening duel race on Thursday night.
Yes this is a non-official qualifying event, but Bubba is still able to carry points on over to the season from this win, and not to mention, momentum.
Storylines will continue to roll into Sunday’s Great American Race, as we inch closer to the big day as well as a long season ahead.
